Caviar Authenticity
Since 1998, caviar trade has been governed under "CITES" (Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species). Caviar Care
Caviar should be stored between 26 and 32 degrees Fahrenheit. This can be done either by putting the tin in the coldest part of the refrigerator, usually the meat shelf, or in a bowl and surrounding it with crushed ice.Unopened fresh caviar will last up to two months, but once the tin is opened it should be eaten within one to two days. If caviar is left in the tin, the surface should be smoothed and a sheet of plastic wrap should be pressed directly onto the surface before placing it back in the refrigerator. Simply turning the tin over every other day will allow its oil to reach all of the eggs and therefore preserving its freshness and taste. |
